Find Your Perfect Engineered Wood Flooring
Engineered flooring is a great option for your home, not only is it long-lasting, but it also has an air of quality. Particularly popular for downstairs rooms, engineered wood offers a classic look with calming natural tones combined with easy maintenance. Wood is also great for families with pets, young children or where an anti-allergy approach is preferred.
In contrast to traditional hardwood floors, engineered wood is very stable, less prone to shrinkage and discolouring as well as durable due to the manufacturing process. Layers of plywood are compressed in alternate directions, topped with a 3-6mm layer of real hardwood for the final look.

2 laying patterns – herringbone vs plank
From classic oak tones to deep walnut hues, we supply and install a wide selection to match any design vision. The ability to sand and refinish wood over time ensures it remains fresh and stylish for years to come, making it an eco-friendly choice. Typically there are 2 styles of laying engineered wood flooring, herringbone and straight plank.
The herringbone pattern is created by laying the planks at a 90-degree angle to each other, forming a zigzag that resembles the bones of a fish. This pattern adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to any space, making it a popular choice for both traditional and modern interior designs.
Requiring a little specialist knowledge, setting out, and patience, our professional fitters can bring the luxury feel of a herringbone pattern to your home. Talk to us about our flooring installation service.
The plank layout is a timeless and versatile choice that brings warmth and character to any space, with a slightly less formal feel than herringbone. Plank flooring effortlessly complements both modern and traditional interiors, compatible with a wide choice of home decor. With its wide, elongated boards, plank wood flooring creates a sense of openness with the sophistication of the real wood top layer, making it ideal for homeowners looking to elevate their space with a premium flooring solution.
